20+ years of successful navigation through many PMx establishment and improvement journeys.
PMx Evolution 20+ years experience summary
In early 2000, I fell in love with project management, starting as a project manager (someone who needs to lead without authority, solve problems, and add value to an organization). Those goals matched my work philosophy and primary skills. Over the last 20 years, I’ve grown to become a leader of leaders by establishing and guiding global teams of project managers.
After that early PM experience, another organization invited me to join them to establish a strategic PMO function responsible for tailoring standard project management methodologies to match that organization’s DNA.
In my most recent experience, I was selected to establish a project portfolio management function that was responsible for dozens of projects, which we then extended to an EPMO function (managing a portfolio of 10+ portfolios ) that had responsibility for hundreds of projects.
This was one of the most impactful evolutionary project delivery improvement initiatives I ever led, and was recognized with an Operational Excellence Award, based on reducing average project delivery cycle time by 50%. That improvement also added > $100M to overall BU NPV.
My passion for project delivery, and especially for leading improvement efforts, led me to establish ‘PMx Evolution’.
